Halloween!

We had a great Halloween this year. It all started off with our trip to the pumpkin patch earlier this week. For family night we drove just a couple of minutes to a small pumpkin patch where we had fun looking at all the pumpkins.

David was breaking all the rules.

Peek-a-boo!
We ran into a family in the ward there and they were nice enough to take our picture. There was a cute rail road set up behind us. Of course, the pumpkin patch was a little out of our price range so we bought a small pumpkin there and we bought our big ones at Safeway.

Halloween Eve we went to Davids parents to carve our pumpkins. Here is our before picture.

Jack-o'- lanterns in the making!
Y ou have to roast pumpkin seeds of course!
Ta-Da! Our finish product.
For actual Halloween night we went over to the Green's house for dinner and to watch the girls go trick or treating!
They were the cutest little fairies.

This is the face Callie makes when you say "smile!". I swear shes not angry with me.
David's cousin Chris made this pumkin..pretty cool!
Off the girls go trick or treating:)

Saturday Afternoon

David and I decided to go outside. We hopped in the car, drove to Ma and Pa Carruth's house, and borrowed some sweet wheels. Then we drove to a park and wheeled around for a bit. The weather was perfect and we had a lot of fun.... if you can't tell by our pictures.

Here is David putting on his skates... yep that's our new car!

I think David was threatening me here in this picture...maybe something like.."you better not post this on our blog or anything..." hmmm.
I was so fast!!

But then David had to show me up...

Riding the scooter with his skates-
Jumping with skates on-
Jumping down stairs-
Sliding down the railing....psh-
So of course I had to prove myself to him...

Oh yeah...that's right.

TA-DA!
By the end we were sweaty and tired, but we had a lot of fun. We are so cool.

I'M HOOKED.

Well... a lot has happened since my last post. To name a few, I got a job full time working at a law firm, David and I bought our first car! A 2002 Nissan Altima (pictures to come). David and I found out he gets Dec 24th-Jan 3rd off so we can go to Washington for Christmas! And David left yesterday for New Jersey, where he will be working this next week.

But... the MAIN reason I am writing this post is to tell you all what I've been doing since David left. My sister Corine introduced me to a blog online that had a short story on it.
Caution! This story is addicting... I've been reading it all last night and ever since I got home from work today. I think my sister read the whole thing yesterday!

Apartment!

So finally I've put together a little tour of our new apartment.
Ta-Da! The Laundry Room...

Kitchen

This was the first thing in the kitchen. I love spices!

This was a shower gift from David's Aunt Peggy. I love what it says- "A Balanced Diet is a cookie in each hand."

Our new kitchen table...it has a built in butterfly leaf so it gets a little longer.

Da Lou

Wedding gift from David. My favorite picture of Christ.

Living room

Bedroom

David's granny and grandpa found this at a garage sale for $10! While David was in LA, Steph and I sanded it, painted it black, and replaced the handles. I think it turned out great!

Packed closet

I found this nifty shoe rack at Bed bath and beyond.

Time for Fall!

Today I went to Michaels and the dollar store to find some fall decorations. I made a few cute arrangements in two glass containers left over from the wedding, bought some garland, and a few porcelain pumpkins. I know it's kinda early for Halloween, but I loved these skeletons!

The pinecones in the container smell really good :)

I thought the scarecrow was so cute!

A little table decoration...I think I still need something...

This isn't really Fall, but I bought some flowers for this purple vase from my bridal shower.
