Apartment!

So finally I've put together a little tour of our new apartment.
Ta-Da! The Laundry Room...

Kitchen

This was the first thing in the kitchen. I love spices!

This was a shower gift from David's Aunt Peggy. I love what it says- "A Balanced Diet is a cookie in each hand."

Our new kitchen table...it has a built in butterfly leaf so it gets a little longer.

Da Lou

Wedding gift from David. My favorite picture of Christ.

Living room

Bedroom

David's granny and grandpa found this at a garage sale for $10! While David was in LA, Steph and I sanded it, painted it black, and replaced the handles. I think it turned out great!

Packed closet

I found this nifty shoe rack at Bed bath and beyond.

Time for Fall!

Today I went to Michaels and the dollar store to find some fall decorations. I made a few cute arrangements in two glass containers left over from the wedding, bought some garland, and a few porcelain pumpkins. I know it's kinda early for Halloween, but I loved these skeletons!

The pinecones in the container smell really good :)

I thought the scarecrow was so cute!

A little table decoration...I think I still need something...

This isn't really Fall, but I bought some flowers for this purple vase from my bridal shower.

Santa Cruz

A few weeks ago we took a day trip to Santa Cruz. This beach has everything! An awesome light house, cave, roller coasters and rides, and big waves!

The "Boardwalk"

My sexy husband

Peek-a-Boo!

We slowly got into the water...

It was FFFRRRREEEEZZZZING!!

Our little spot on the beach

Prettiest lighthouse....sorry Browns Point.

The next week we went to Santa Cruz again with a little more family. On Wednesday and Thursdays you can ride all the rides for only $9.95!

Hmmm...I guess I grew some bunny ears...

This ride spun so fast you were glued to the wall. I felt sooo sick after.

Ma Carruth and the sistas

Mmmm...Deep Fried Twinkies

Disneyland day-trip!

When we first got to California we spontaneously decided to drive to LA and go to Disneyland! We stayed at the cheapest motel we could find and spent the whole day at Disneyland and California Adventures. We had fun reminiscing about our childhood.
We had to take a picture in front of the castle :)

We took this picture before we entered the new Toy Story Ride at California Adventures. It was a 3D virtual carnival game ride, one of our favorites.

I think this picture belongs to the big roller coaster in California Adventures. I love David's expression.
I live in California now! ...weird
Hollywood House of Terror...(I may have just made that name up). Before this picture was taken I had never been on this ride before. On the outside it looks like a haunted hotel. The theme was The Twilight Zone, a favorite tv show of mine, so I was excited to go in! If you've ever been on the haunted house ride at Disneyland you know it's more of a show as you travel through the house then a ride. So that's what I expected. David neglected to tell me as we sat in a small cage like room that we would be sling shot up several stories and back down! It scared me to death!
Darth Vador at Disneyland.
I pretended this was David.
We had a really good dinner at a New Orleans style resturant....we had some visitors next to us.
We challeged each other to find the weirdest/coolest hat. Who do you think won?
At the end of the day we watched the Fastasia show and fireworks. We had a lot of fun and can't wait to go back someday :)
